Baptism Invites went out today!

Very excited to have her baptism on Father's day. Means so much to be able to celebrate such a special day for Paige and also to spend the day with all the important Fathers, grandfathers, Great-grandfathers, Uncles, etc. Looking forward to having everyone at our house for lunch afterwards. Should be a wonderful day! Hopefully no rain...

She Laughed for the 1st time!! We were at Friendly's last night for a fundraiser for the Fraternal Order of Police and her daddy was talking to her and making faces and she LAUGHED! It was probably the most adorable thing I have ever seen. I can't wait until it is an all the time thing! There is truly nothing in the world like it. She is such a miracle.

Scheduled her baptism for Father's day on June 20th. Thought it would be a perfect day for all the families to be together. We get to celebrate Paige- God's Miracle and all the dads! Especially my hubby who will celebrate his first Father's day (even though we have been a dad and mom to 2 wonderful puppies for the past 7 years) It will be a very Special day for ALL.

2 Month Well Check-up

So yesterday Paige had her 2 month check-up. She was 8 lbs 1oz when she was born and as of yesterday she is 10lbs exactly! She was 20.5 inches and she is now 23 inches. She is getting so big every day! My husband and I were nearly in tears when they gave her 5 shots! 3 in one thigh and 2 in the other and then the medicine they had to squirt in her mouth. I have never heard her scream the way she did yesterday. It was horrible! She literally slept for almost 7 hours straight after that. She woke up once screaming about 4 hours after the shots so we gave her tylenol and then she went back down. She kept crying in her sleep; we all said she was probably dreaming about getting those shots. This picture was taken right after we left the doctors. She was completely wiped out!

Paige's weekend at the Mountains

So I am very lucky to have 2 parents who have cabins in Lake Wallenpaupack. So far Paige has spent 3 weekends at my moms cabin. It hasnt been too nice there yet but she just loves the mountain air. She sleeps excellent up there and is so content all the time. I got bored at home on Saturday and my husband was busy working on his car and house that I decided to go visit my mom. Of course all of her friends love seeing Paige so she got lots of love. For the first time she slept 6 hours through the night! Wish she would always do that. Today she is officially 8 weeks. Time flys! She has her check up today at 3:30 so I will update then.

2 months!

Paige is going on her 2 month mark and still not sleeping through the night! Part of me wants her too so mommy can also get some sleep but part of me will really miss that bonding time with just her and I at 2-3am. Most of the time she is so happy and so content and loves to be rocked and listen to her lullibies. I love it too; sometimes i find myself humming them at work, or in the grocery store. It's so weird that before her I didnt even know a lullaby and now I can sing them even without listening to them. HA

Anyway, she is defintely growing everyday. She can now follow her mobile on her swings. That is so cute watching her little blue eyes going around with the little animals. She also loves to be on grammys changing table. Sometimes she is so content and finds her voice and coos and cas and kicks. As long as she hears our voices around her she is very content and happy. She is eating 4-5 ozs. She has her next check-up on Monday! Can't wait to see how much she weighs and how tall she is. She is definitely becoming a little chunky monkey! Will update on Monday!

First Blog

Hello Everyone! This is my first blog! Let me first introduce myself. My name is Jen and I am a very proud mama to my little Pookie Paige Olivia. She is truly a little peach. My husband and I have been together for almost 8 years and married for almost 2 yrs. We found out last father's day 6/21/09 that I was pregnant; what a wonderful Father's day gift! We had Paige on 3/1/10. It was a great pregnancy (except the first 3 months were filled with ALL day nausea). The day I went into labor was very nerve wrecking and exciting all at the same time. I thought my water broke in the middle of the night (to find out later it did not) went to the hospital at 5am and had Ms. Paige at 7:16pm after 25 mins of pushing she graced us with her presence with a very healthy cry at 8lbs 1oz and 20 1/2 inches. We've been having the best time the past 8 weeks with her. I am very lucky for our families!! Without my mom I probably would have lost it a couple times and would be VERY sleep deprived. She has been a wonderful grammy and she is Paige's full-time babysitter! I went back to work 2 weeks ago so everyday Paige gets to spend with Grammy. I work for my dad and grandfather so I am very lucky that I can bring Paige into work every so often and she can visit her mommy, pop pop, and great grandpop! Paige is blessed with 3 sets of grandparents, and 3 sets of great grandparents, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and one very special cousin!
